Solution
Get found online when people nearby are ready to buy
Being invisible online is rarely a single broken thing. It is usually a business with no Google Business Profile discipline, pages that do not say what they sell, and no structure telling search engines which page answers which question.
“People searching for what I sell should find me, not my competitor.”
Local visibility is decided by three separate systems that people tend to blur together. Your Google Business Profile decides whether you appear in the map pack, which is the block of three businesses above the normal results and where the majority of local clicks go. Your website decides whether you appear in the regular results underneath. AI assistants decide, from both plus whatever they can read elsewhere, whether to name you when someone asks a question conversationally.
They reward different things. The profile rewards proximity, category accuracy, review velocity and activity. The website rewards a page that clearly matches the search, loads fast, and is linked to from within a coherent site. Answer engines reward content that states facts plainly enough to quote. You can be strong in one and absent in the others, which is why so many businesses have a beautiful website and no phone calls.
The order matters more than the effort. Fixing the profile is days of work and often moves the phone within a month. Building service and location pages is weeks and moves over a quarter. Earning authority is a year-long habit. Doing them in the reverse order is the single most common way to waste a marketing budget.
Diagnosis
What's usually going wrong
Your profile is claimed but never touched
Primary category slightly wrong, service list empty, no photos since 2019, reviews unanswered. Google reads that as a business it cannot confidently recommend, and the map pack goes to whoever looks maintained.
One page tries to rank for everything
A services page listing nine offerings competes with itself and matches nothing precisely. Search engines need one page per intent, written to that intent, before they can rank you for it.
Nothing on the site says where you work
No address, no service area, no city named anywhere in the content. For a local search, that removes you from consideration regardless of how good the site looks.
The site is technically invisible
Blocked in robots.txt, missing from the sitemap, rendering only in JavaScript, or so slow that crawling is throttled. These are silent failures that no amount of content will overcome.
The work
What we do about it
- 01
Fix the profile first
Correct primary and secondary categories, complete services and attributes, real photos on a schedule, a review request routine that runs after every job, and replies to everything. This is the cheapest visibility available to a local business.
Google Business Profile - 02
Build one page per intent
A page for each service, each city you genuinely serve, and each question buyers actually ask, mapped so no two pages compete for the same search. Then the technical layer: sitemap, structure, speed and schema.
SEO & GEO - 03
Make the page worth landing on
Rankings only matter if the page converts. Clear offer above the fold, proof nearby, a short form and a visible phone number that is tappable on a phone.

Measurement
How you'll know it worked
We baseline each of these before the work starts, so improvement is provable rather than asserted.
Profile discovery searches
Google Business Profile reports how many people found you by category rather than by name. Discovery searches climbing is the earliest honest signal that local visibility is improving.
Calls and direction requests
Both are counted in the profile and both are high-intent. They usually move before ranking reports do.
Impressions on non-brand queries
In Search Console, filter out your own business name. Growth in what remains is real visibility; growth including brand terms is often just people who already knew you.
Form and phone volume, attributed
The only number that matters. We tag sources so you can see which channel produced the inquiry rather than guessing.
Timeline
What happens when
- Profile fixes reflected in the map pack
- 2–6 weeks
- New service and location pages indexed and ranking
- 3–6 months
- Compounding authority and steady non-brand traffic
- 6–12 months
Profile work often shows within a month because Google re-evaluates the profile quickly. Website rankings for competitive terms take three to six months, and anyone promising faster on organic search is either buying ads or misleading you.
Ads buy visibility immediately and stop the moment you stop paying. The sensible pattern is ads for cash flow now while the organic and profile work compounds underneath.
You need pages that answer buyer questions. Whether they are called blog posts is irrelevant. Six genuinely useful pages beat fifty thin ones, and thin ones can actively hold you back.
Age helps but is not decisive locally. Category accuracy, review velocity, proximity and a well-structured site regularly beat an older competitor who has left their profile to rot.
No, and neither can anyone else. We can commit to the work that consistently moves visibility and to reporting honestly on whether it did.
